Lakewood Summer Arts Faire 2011

The Lakewood United Methodist church is holding their 8th Annual  Lakewood Summer Arts Faire.
And.....I have been juried in for this Faire, which means that I get to set up a booth and display all my art. This is my first art faire and I am super  excited, anxious, and nervous....  I have been preparing for this one for the last couple of weeks and am almost ready for the show....     There are about 30 plus artists including me participating in for the faire and will be displaying a variety of art including jewelry, pottery, ceramics and glasswork.              
 
Lakewood Summer Arts Faire (LSAF) was formed as a mission of Lakewood United Methodist Church in 2004.  Every year LSAF brings together leading local artists and the East Dallas community in a family-friendly environment where patrons can view, enjoy and purchase fine art, fine jewelry and fine crafts.  Each of the last seven years they have had over thirty artists, many well-known in the Dallas arts community, and some showing their work to the public for the first time (like me!!).  All proceeds from Lakewood Summer Arts Faire support charities in the Dallas community.  Some of the organizations that have benefited from LSAF include The Lakewood Firehouse After School Program, The Wilkinson Center, The Bethlehem Center, Methodist Children's Home, and Lakewood Relief Fund.
