Mehandi mania at Zentangle Land

Posted on: October 20, 2011 at 3:27 am

Often women here in the US, are curious and ask me about the mehendi-henna. They want to know how to put it on, is it safe, what is it made of, how long does it take to dry etc...I always enjoy answering them, guess it is a girl thing..so while packing for my trip to the Zentangle land, I put in 2 mehendi cones along with other things in my large suitcase. I was not sure if anyone would like to put in on but I was sure it would create curiosity....

First hand...on..

First hand...on..

So, on the first day after dinner we were all tangling on our canvas bags and getting to know each other...thats when my neighbor asked me about mehandi. Explaining to her about it I put out my cones and said she can put it on if she wanted to...and all of a sudden we had attracted  others sitting around us...everyone wanted to put it on and thus started our fun with mehandi..

Getting comfortable with the cone...

Getting comfortable with the cone...

After the initial hitches and glitches we started right on...do you see the line??

The first batch...

That was the first batch of henna hands at the zentangle land...as the word spread, many more came in to try out the henna.......Thats when my friend Wendy Weirick took over the task of  making henna designs for everyone as she enjoys doing that...

Enjoying the evening...
