Its been a while since I worked on a painting from a still life setup. So, I picked a simple doable subject to get started... a pear, but I also wanted some kind of challenge and tried something different with the foreground...So, I share my studio space with a quilt artist and its fabric fabric everywhere!!.... Though I have borrowed fabrics previously too, its always been plain colours.... Well so this time to make it challenging I picked a printed one and working on this painting was refreshing...  I loved the way its turned out!!
